To begin the GTA casino heist scope out mission, you’ll need to select the mission from your planning board in your arcade basement. Lester wants you to go to the casino and take photographs of access points and points of interest, so you know what you’re dealing with. You won’t have to scope out the entire diamond casino, but you’ll need to meet a minimum requirement before your job there is done and you can always return to the casino to continue scoping out the joint later.
The GTA casino heist scope out mission has 11 access points, as well as various points of interest. Access points include doors and ways into the building and points of interest are security cameras or guards that could make it difficult for you when the actual heist takes place. GTA casino heist access points

How to start a scope out mission
To begin scoping out the casino, head to the planning board in your arcade basement and interact with it. Then select the square at the top marked "scope out casino," and it will trigger a mission where you can go to the diamond casino and take photographs with your phone to send to lester, each one increasing the possibility approaches in your final heist.
Where are the access points?
There are 11 access points in total, with seven on the roof, two at ground level, and two more further away from the casino. We've numbered them to help keep track, but you can discover them in any order.
Roof access point 1
The first possible entrance is on the roof, accessible through the elevator inside the casino. This is the first of several next to the helipad.
Roof access point 2
The next access point is simple across from the previous one. Turn 180 degrees and you should see it.
Roof access point 3
The final helipad access point is across on the other side of the helipad. Walk over it and it should be there.
Roof access point 4
Another access point can be found on the roof garden, with the swimming pool on the right.
Roof access point 5
This is the trickiest one to find on the roof - head right when you come out of the elevator, through to a small side path with this door.
Roof access point 6
This is one of two access points at the back of the building, but still on the roof. Jump down from the helipad on the opposite side of the building from the gardens, and you should see this one.
Roof access point 7
The final roof access point is simply down the same wall from the previous one. Walk along until you see it.
Rear access point 1
This is one of two access points set into the building at ground level. Circle around to the back, near the horse track, until you see it.
Rear access point 2
This one is just a little further around the building than the previous one. Keep walking until you see it.
Tunnel access point
This one is further away, and easier to miss. Go beneath the tunnel that links the car park to the middle of the horse track. There should be a garage door. Photograph that to register it as an access point.
Sewer access point
The hardest one to find, go past the racetrack to the river, then south to the canal. There should be a tunnel. Go inside that for a while until you find this grated section.

With the release of the diamond casino heist update rockstar has decided to add a variety of approaches you can choose to carry out the heist itself. The heist update is one of the most complex and content filled updates ever delivered, particularly when you take into account the heist itself.
In order to carry out the heist finale, you must go through several heist preparation missions. Among the mandatory prep missions come optional prep missions as well, which you can carry out to make your heist easier. One of the prep mission includes finding the access points and points of interest (pois) during casino and vault scope out missions.
You can buy a casino model for your prep board for GTA$130,000 which shows them the locations of all the access points. However, even that is not enough as it still does not help you pin-point the exact locations of some of the access points outside of casino.

Access points
If you scope out all the access points, then you will have more options to enter the casino. The access points are listed below.
Access point #1
The first access point is the main casino entrance door.
Access point #2
The side door to the right of the casino.
Access point #3
Side door to the left of the casino.
Access point #4
The garage door of the security tunnel underneath the race track to the right of the casino.
Access point #5
There's a sewer tunnel right across the street from the casino. Head over there and go inside and take a picture of the sewer grate.
Access point #6
Keypad door right down the stairs behind the bar.
Access point #7
Keypad door next to the pool.
Access point #8
Keypad door 1 around the back when you jump off the ledge of the swimming pool towards the left.
Access point #9
Keypad door 2 around the back. After the first door around back, when you go a bit forward you will find the second door with a guard beside it.
Access point #10
Keypad door 1 on the roof right beside the helipad.
Access point #11
Keypad door 2 on the roof beside the helipad.
Points of interest (pois)
Besides the access points above, there are several points of interest which can either be identified or scoped out. These will add further options that can allow you to approach the heist in a variety of different ways. There are two parts to finding the points of interest.
You find the points of interest in the casino scoping mission as well as the vault content scope out mission. There are a total of 11 POI that can be scoped out. All the pois are listed below.
Casino scope out pois
The following are the POI you can identify when you are carrying out the casino scope out heist prep mission.
Point of interest #1
The old camera. You can take the picture of any one of the old camera. They are present everywhere around the casino. On the roof and the roof terrace as well. This picture is taken on the roof.
Point of interest #2
The security guard standing beside the elevator.
Point of interest #3
The orbital camera inside of the casino.
Point of interest #4
The purple keypad beside the staff door which says 'restricted access' beside the chips exchange counter.
Point of interest #5
Casino vault blueprints. You can find them sitting on the table in agatha's office in the management section of the casino. You need to have VIP membership in order to access this area. Go through 'inside tracks' and you will see a double door with a guard standing beside it which says 'management'. You need to go inside that and upstairs to agatha's office.
Point of interest #6
The valet at the main entrance is also a point of interest.
Vault content scope out POI
When you hack into the camera feed while doing the vault content scope out mission, you have the option to either leave the camera feed after you've found the vault content or to continue and find the points of interest. You can continue to check all the feeds and grab all the points of interest.
The general rule when you are identifying the POI through the camera feed is to simply scroll you camera all the way from left to right capturing everything. Once a POI is identified, you will get a notification in the bottom left corner which will say 'point of interest scoped'.
To help you as much as possible all the points of interest in the camera feed nare listed below for you.
Point of interest #1
When you hack into the staff corridor camera, move your camera all the way to the left side and once the marked door is in the feed, the POI will be identified.
Point of interest #2
In the hotel floor camera, you need to move your camera all the way to the right until the two staff elevators are in sight. Once they are in sight the POI will be identified.
Point of interest #3
In the vault security camera feed, you need to have the security room door in your camera feed sight and the POI will be scoped out.
Point of interest #4
When you reach the staff lobby camera feed, you will instantly get a notification saying that a POI is scoped out. This is because the whole front desk area is the POI.
Point of interest #5
In the staff entrance camera feed, move your camera to the left where the metal detectors are and scope them out to get a POI identified.

Frequently asked questions
Do you need to buy the penthouse to carry out the diamond casino heist?
No, you do not need the penthouse to carry out the casino heist, however some points of interest require you to have a VIP membership in order to access them, such as the vault blueprint in agatha baker's office.
If you take a picture of the blueprints then you will have a prototype in your arcade basement to practice drilling on. Getting this blueprint is completely optional and it will not affect the casino heist experience.

Casino scoping is a setup mission featured in grand theft auto online as part of the the diamond casino heist update. It is a freeroam mission needed to progress the diamond casino heist.
Overview
This mission is the first preparation needed for the diamond casino heist. The various points of interest the player photographs will determine the choice of entry/exit points, as well as other possibilities later in the preparation stage of the heist.
The player is tasked with going to the casino, where they first need to photograph the main entrance and send the image to lester. At this point, they can choose to send an image of the valet as well, which acts as an optional objective.
Once the image of the main entrance is sent to lester, they need to enter the casino. Lester will tell them to send him images of a security guard, a keypad, and a security camera. The quickest way to do this is to photograph the guard standing next to the cashier booth, and the keypad located behind him. There are many bulb-shaped security cameras located on the ceiling of the main lobby. After all these images are sent to lester, they are free to exit the casino.
The player can use the elevator near the entrance to go up to the roof terrace. If they do so, a cutscene plays and introduces yung ancestor. Exclaiming that the party "sucks", he goes on to announce an afterparty in his penthouse and starts picking people to let inside. Amongst them is brucie kibbutz, but the protagonist is not invited. The protagonist continues to look on as tom connors hurries over when yung shouts for guest services and asks for items for his party, and demands a wall mirror the employees keep returning to its proper place to be "put back on the table". Tom agrees but tries to tactfully remind yung that he was asked to tone down his parties after the last one, the aftermath involving housekeeping being disturbed over "all that blood" they had to clean up. Yung argues that just as he stated the last time about that incident that there was no apparent body, therefore no crimes had taken place. Tom states that yung is aware that the duggans are reviewing his penthouse lease and he just doesn't want there to be a problem, but yung gets upset and claims he was told that the VIP access he got with the penthouse meant "anything goes". After yung irritably snatches the bottle of champagne tom is carrying and storms off, tom radios agatha baker that they need to talk, and "yes, it's about that guest. Again."
After the cutscene, lester remarks that yung is clearly upset about the casino's services, and the celebrity should be crazy enough that he might be their ticket into the casino if lester approaches him. This encounter unlocks the two optional yung ancestor missions, dead weight and after party, which can be completed to have yung help them with the heist.
Once outside, the player needs to take a photo of a rear security door. Two are situated on the ground floor; one on the east and one on the north side of the casino. There are two on the west side of the roof terrace, and another two on the part of the terrace overlooking the vinewood racetrack – older model security cameras are located here as well, an image of which can also be sent to lester. Two additional entrances are located on the helipad. Once the player takes a photo of a ground level entry point, they are free to leave the area to end the mission, or they can continue looking for other points of interest.
There is a small tunnel next to the casino, under the racetrack. Here, the player can photograph the security tunnel entrance, which allows them to prepare for the gruppe sechs tactic of the big con approach. If the player enters the sewer tunnel, accessible from the los santos river, they will come across another possible access point, for the aggressive approach.
If the player owns a master penthouse, they can access agatha baker's office, where they will find blueprints of the vault on her desk. Sending a photo of them to lester allows the purchase of a vault door for $900,000, which allows the player to practise drilling through the vault.
Once the mission is completed, the player does not need to do it again for any subsequent heists. However, if the player wishes to take photos of additional points of interest, they can repeat the mission as many times as they would like, even multiple times per heist. Lester will not give any instructions in later attempts and will only acknowledge the fact they are doing it again by saying it is not a bad idea to scope it out once more.

What is it?
This brand new heist addition to GTA V online is another one in the long-running saga of heists being added throughout the life span of GTA V online.
The latest one plays hand-in-hand with the diamond casino update rockstar games implemented sometime during july 2019.
Before this update, players were able to work with the staff, gamble, bet, buy penthouses and do whatever they would please in the casino, besides rob it.
But now, players will be able to directly rob the casino, as any good criminal would do!
How to complete the heist
With any heist in the GTA series, each one can be done in multiple varieties of ways and each has its own pros and cons.
We will go over the steps you are going to need to take if you choose a certain way of completing the heist as well as the points of entry you can take into the casino.
There are six points of entry into the casino and they are listed below:
- Main door
- Side door
- Roof terrace
- Security tunnel
- Sewer
- Roof

Aggressive, big con or silent and sneaky?
There are three different ways to enter the casino heist – the first two, aggressive and silent and sneaky, are pretty self-explanatory. Big con will mean you are going to heist in disguise and sneak through the hotel.

Of course, you cannot do a heist all by yourself so you are going to need a crew to help you rob the casino.
During this heist, your crew will consist of a gunman, driver, and hacker. The latter is one of the most important roles for this heist, as the higher the skill of the hacker the more time you are going to have within the vault which equals more money.
The more skilled your crew is the bigger the cuts they are going to demand and in turn, will lead to less payout for yourself, so choose wisely.
GTA online diamond casino heist walkthrough
The diamond casino heist is a new heist job in GTA online's diamond casino and resort update. The casino heist is by far the most complicated heist GTA online players have seen, but it offers some good ways to make a lot of money along the way.
If you don't know how to start the casino heist or if you are stuck on one of the missions, our walkthrough on how to complete this job in GTA online is outlined below.
Step 1: buy an arcade
Before you can start the diamond casino heist in GTA online, you need to purchase one of the six possible retro arcades in the game. You must talk to lester in mirror park to access the arcades.
After you talk to lester and the six arcade locations appear on the map, you can use the maze bank foreclosures store webpage on your mobile phone to purchase one of the arcade locations.
Here are all the locations and their prices. The best arcades are located in the city.

Step 2: set up your heist
Once you have your arcade location up and running, you can enter lester's underground base, where you will gain access to three blackboards. Use these blackboards to manage your heist.
The three blackboards represent the three following stages of the heist:
- The set up
- The prep
- The heist
The first blackboard is dedicated to helping you set up your heist. You will see the "to do" list in the upper right corner, which is a list of actions you must perform before the actual heist.
You can also choose to do the optional list of tasks, but you will have to pay for all of the intelligence associated with them, so we'll just focus on the main missions.
Scope out casino
This is the first task you need to complete. To make things easier, it is advisable to purchase the two extras from the setup board:
- Casino model
- Price: $130,000
- Door security
- Price: $425,000
These two pieces of intelligence will help you to find all of the safest entry points into the casino.
Scope out vault contents
After you arrive at the casino and find the vault, you can scope it out for four types of valuables:
- Cash
- Price: $2,115,000
- Artwork
- Price: $2,350,000
- Gold
- Price: $2,585,000
- Diamonds
- Price: $3,290,000
You can only choose one of the four options, and they are random. The best loot you can get from the vault is diamonds, which cost over $3 million. The least profitable is cash. So if you happen to get the case with diamonds, then select it and mark it on your blackboard.
Select approach
The final part of the setup is selecting one of the three available approaches:
- Silent and sneaky
- The big con
- Aggressive
All three approaches offer different types of gameplay. Silent and sneaky is obviously a stealth plan; the big con uses tricks and disguises; and aggressive offers a full-on guns blazing robbery.
It doesn't matter which approach you choose, as they all lead to the same results. Choose the style that fits your personal taste the most.
Step 3: prep your heist
This stage of the heist requires the most time and money. This stage is where you hire your crew of npcs, select disguises, vehicles, and other necessary items from the "to do" list.
Support crew
In this first section, you can choose three possible crewmen for the heist:
- Gunman
- Driver
- Hacker
All three categories offer different skills, but these also come with varying prices. Whenever you choose a crewman, it will show you their cut in percentages. Obviously, the higher the skill, the higher the cut.
In this case, it is strongly recommended that you take all three expert level crewmen, where each will take 9% of your heist earnings. It's a lot of money to give away, but you will have the highest quality weapons and vehicles during the heist.
The to-do list
After you have chosen your team, you can start the six main prep missions. In each of these missions, you need to select which item types you wish to steal.
Below you will find the best choices for the prep missions:
- Rifle loadout
- Unmarked weapons
- Sultan classic
- Getaway vehicles
- Gruppe sechs
- Entry disguise
- Noose gear
- Exit disguise
During the getaway vehicles mission, you will also have the choice to upgrade your vehicles. You can buy bulletproof tires for $25,000, which will make the getaway section easier.
Step 4: start the diamond casino heist
You will be offered a chance to choose your buyer and get some extra help on the third blackboard.
Choose buyer
Buyers have three levels: low, middle, and high. Always go for the high-level buyer. They will offer the most amount of money. The heist will be more difficult, but if you've done your prep correctly, and spent cash on the right things, then you should be fine.
Also buy a clean vehicle and gunman decoy for $50,000 if you can.
Starting the mission
If you've selected the gruppe sechs entrance disguise and the big con approach, then you will start the heist mission in an armored truck, which is the best for this mission.
Here's how to get through the entire heist easily:
- Enter the underground garage of the casino
- Take the elevator to the vault
- Run past all the guards without killing them
- Use the vault keycard
- Let the casino worker open the vault for you
- Get the loot
- Exit the vault floor through the staircase
- Change the disguise in the locker room (noose)
- Exit the casino through the staff door
When you're outside the casino, you can safely deliver the vault contents to your buyer.
Finish the mission
The only problem you might run into during this final stage of the heist is the chasing helicopter. Steal any car you see and use it to deliver the loot (if you didn't purchase the clean vehicle option ahead of time).
If cops start chasing you, use the underground sewer system to get away from them and stay undetected. Follow the marker on the map to your buyer's location.
When you've reached the buyer location, the mission ends with a cutscene, and you get your money reward.
